Upon receipt of a specific allegation of fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement, the OIG may take any one of the following actions: open an investigation, audit, or assessment; refer the matter to LSC management for appropriate review and action; or refer the allegation to another Federal agency. Investigations into allegations with limited specificity or merit may be deferred until further, specific details are reported, or the allegation will be closed.
The OIG accepts allegations related to LSC management, LSC grantee programs (including subgrantee programs), and contractors/consultants working with LSC or its grantees.
NOTE: If your complaint does not involve LSC or an organization receiving funding from LSC, your complaint does not fall under our jurisdiction.
