The Office of Inspector General (OIG) for Legal Services Corporation (LSC) operates a nationwide hotline, which allows the public, employees and other stakeholders to report suspected fraud, waste, abuse, mismanagement, or misconduct in LSC programs and operations, including grantee programs that receive LSC funding. If you wish to report an allegation you may submit an online form, call by telephone, or send an email or letter.
Allegations may be reported by LSC employees, LSC grantee employees, or the general public.

Please provide relevant and specific details of your complaints, including the identity of the person, company, or organization alleged to have engaged in wrongdoing;
- a description of the alleged impropriety;
- the LSC office or LSC grantee program affected by the alleged misconduct;
- date(s) of alleged wrongdoing;
- how you are aware of the alleged impropriety;
- the identity of potential witnesses; and
- the identity and location of supporting documentation.
Upon receipt of a specific allegation of fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement, the OIG may take any one of the following actions:
- open an investigation, audit, or assessment;
- refer the matter to LSC management for appropriate review and action; or
- refer the allegation to another Federal agency.
Investigations into allegations with limited specificity or merit may be deferred until further, specific details are reported, or the allegation will be closed.
The OIG accepts allegations related to LSC management, LSC grantee programs (including subgrantee programs), and contractors/consultants working with LSC or its grantees. View a List of LSC Grantee Programs.

Yes. You are not required to provide identifying information. However, you are encouraged to identify yourself in the event that the OIG has additional questions while evaluating or pursuing the allegations.
The identities of persons reporting allegations through the OIG Hotline will not be disclosed without consent unless disclosure is unavoidable.

OIG policy does not permit the release of information on any ongoing investigation. This longstanding policy protects and maintains the integrity of any investigation. To request a copy of an investigative report, you must file a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
